For years, the scariest creatures in our house were the scorpions that live in this part of Texas. But we've taken care of that. Knowing that scorpions don't like lavender or citrus, we created a blend of dried lavender, dried orange peel and dried lemon peel. We put the bags under our beds and around our shoes--anywhere we don't want scorpions to surprise us. Now the scorpions around here have found someone else's house to haunt.
